Segmented Wall Clock

This is a wall clock I made and sold a couple years ago at neighborhood art exhibit. It is made from white pine, aromatic cedar and poplar and is about 10″x10″ in size. I applied a white pickle stain to this  piece which tends to prevent yellowing of the wood over time.

While not evident in this image, the clock front surface is a compound curve, essentially spherical in shape. Without using computer driven design and cutting tools it would have been fairly difficult to fabricate this work.
